About the site
The purpose of this site is to show my raytracing images, and also to promote raytracing art and the use of free raytracers, specially POV-Ray. If you're wondering about the name of this site, it's a sort of descriptive slogan of my creative process: trial & error (see section Techniques > Work methods for a longer description).
Content usage
The images and/or sources can't be included in any commercial distribution/compilation without previous consent (this also includes offering them as "wallpappers for free" on a web site in conjuction with advertisement banners).
The images can't be altered for publishing in any way, but they can be used for any personal, non-profit purposes. The sources can be altered and/or included on any of your artistic or commercial scenes, even if you don't ask first: I only ask you to consider doing the same with your own sources. Credits and links are welcome, but not required.
Technical information
This site is using CMS Made Simple for the web design and content management. Some of the site design images were created with The Gimp. The site must be accesable and functional without style sheets, but they are really important for the site decoration.
The server hosting the domain ignorancia.org is one of my machines, an AMD Sempron 2800 (1,6Ghz), with 512MB RAM and 80GB HD, mounted by myself into a Chieftec box. The box is very silent thanks to the Tacens Radix P/S and the Arctic Silencer CPU cooler, both with thermal control. It is connected to the Internet with a home ADSL line (1Mb/330Kb). This box runs GNU/Linux Fedora to serve these web pages with Apache, and also handles all my mail with Sendmail. Thanks to Zoneedit for providing the free DNS service.
Please, do not download the entire site automatically, specially if you are behind a fast connection, because I need to have at least some breaks to be able to navigate, receive mail, etc... if you have to do it, please at least use some tool to limit the bandwith used to a few Kbps.
